Little Bud Flower Love

“The language of flowers, sometimes called floriography, is a means of cryptological communication through the use or arrangement of flowers. … Armed with floral dictionaries, Victorians often exchanged small “talking bouquets”, called nosegays or tussie – mussies, which could be worn or carried as a fashion accessory.” (Wikipedia)

Young Londoners know a thing or two about nosegays, let me tell you. Continue reading

A visual account of my recent 3 – week trip to the States. Washington for the inauguration. Los Angeles for fun. Park City, Utah, for skiing. New York for friends and meetings. It was all very #glamthefuckup!

Alexicat tries a ride on The Edge

IMG_1401I love a good ride.

A couple of weeks back I had the privilege of being a guest at Ford’s launch of their new SUV – the Edge. I was invited to Munich, Germany with a group of journalists from all over Europe to check this new release out.  Continue reading

Purple Haze

Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 16.01.42

I feel tricked and betrayed – by my own memory. Last time I checked, I had a whole week left here in St Barth’s – apparently not so. I’m leaving tomorrow, back to London, and here I’ll share a few pictures my talented friend Agnes Fischer took – I love the ‘Purple Haze’ theme in these ones!  To find more of her work, head to her website

Don’t I wish I had a full time photographer following me around everyday? Beats any old selfie stick, that’s for sure… Continue reading

Pharrell Concert in Paris

The Last two days in Paris were glorious. Above and below, I have strategically placed myself with my back to the sun at L’Avenue, a restaurant great for people watching and being watched. I saw some very interesting outfits here. One guy in all black black Versace rocked a remarkably pre-recession look, complete with 3 iPhone 6’s dangling from weird angles amongst gold chains and diamond watches (I’ll use the plural here- wouldn’t wanna offend the man!) Diamonds and Drinks with Theo Fennell

Hi, my name is Alexia, and I’m an addict. A jewellery addict.

My extreme obsession with jewellery, crystals and precious stones is something that most people who know me are well aware of – you will rarely see me without any jewellery, and being a wannabe witch and all, my bra (yes, my bra) is always filled with crystals of different magical properties. I have a genuine interest in the use of different stones and I am of the firm belief that there is no greater investment than jewellery (other than memories, of course). Simple gal, simple pleasures.

Therefore, it was a great honor to be invited to a little private soiree with Theo Fennell last night, hosted by my own dear cousin Louise. The Fennell is probably one of the most iconic jewellery designers around today, and getting a chance to look “behind the scenes” Continue reading

An American friend of mine once remarked how, when us Swedes have a party, we seem to always be dressed in ball gowns and tuxedos. This sentiment was discussed briefly before the epic #HB25 birthday party this Saturday, with a certain Norwegian friend quite accurately bringing our attention to the facts: Continue reading

On the last day of our recent trip to the Italian coast, Alexandra and I were strolling around the Piazzetta in Capri, oh-ing and ah-ing over hand embroidered lace, porcelain painted with patterns of the regional lemons, guidebooks and… shit, we’re turning into our mothers. In a moment of confused defiance (“I mean seriously, the guidebooks, they’re just so much fun to have, you know”) two Italian men spotted our weakened state and went up to us.

“Why do you hate the sun!?” One of them demanded of me, motioning wildly to my white complexion.

“Oh no, my dear man. I don’t hate the sun; the sun hates me”

“Ah ah ah! How funny!” (Note how Italian men always Continue reading

Hello my darlings, happy Tuesday! How was your weekend? I had a pretty good one!

Before the real weekend could commence, Yours Truly was called upon for some filming biznizz. Now, we all know that I am no tattle tale and can hold my tongue when it comes to matters of discretion, so I will not give you the deets as to what exactly we were filming. However I’m sure that you, like me, have a good imagination and can fantasise wildly as to the story behind it. Could it be a Prison Drama? Sci-Fi? Jidaigeki?

I woke up early on Saturday and Continue reading
