I felt like I needed some Glamspiration this glum Tuesday morning, so what better way than to get inspired by last nights Met Gala red carpet snaps? The theme for this annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum Institute Gala was “China: Through the Looking Glass”. This theme was bound to be an obvious route straight to fashion disaster, with lots of over stated Chinese patterns, silk and “mysterious headpieces” (SJP?). Many people seemed to not understand the theme at all (Katy Perry?) while many opted for safe and boring (Lorde). Fashion Snooze!

There has been a lot of critique online about the various dresses, but I have to say, I think some of these girls were fabulous. Rihanna looked gorgeous! She knows how to #Glamthefuckup and she wins the prize, regardless of how many memes out there says she looked like an omelette/pizza. She looked glam, and that’s that.

I’m a big fan of RiRi’s style.

I don’t understand why Anne Hathaway is getting so much hate for this dress?

Why is it such a bad thing if she looked like a red carpet Jeddi? I love it.

Beyonce, because it’s Beyonce.

Kate Hudson, stunning in gold.

Not entirely sure Anna Ewers and Sasha Pivovarova got the memo of the theme, but I still love Pivovarova’s gloves.   Zendaya

Zendaya! LOVE!

metgala2015-383-jumboI actually like Solange’s choice, but one has to wonder if she held that pose all night?

Looks a bit like she has to peek over the top of the collar, no? metgala2015-708-jumbo-v2

Miley failed to excite me.

Lorde looking like a Fashion Sleeping Pill

Jeremy Scott talked Katy Perry into thinking the theme was 80’s graffiti’d wall in a subway in a Michael Jackson video?
