Hats and Bikinis

I recently had the pleasure of collaborating with House of Summer – an online store with everything sun worthy, and Joanne Edwards Millinery – glorious and glamorous hats! What else do you need this summer season? More pictures here!

One of a Kind

DSC_0129I’ve just spent a wonderful day in Notting Hill with two girlfriends, Aleksa and Anna. We walked around Portabello Road in search of fur, costume jewellery, vintage collectors items and most of all bargains.

Are there any words in the world that sound sweeter in a woman’s ear than: one of a kind, limited collection, only one, custom made… Nope. That’s why I love shopping vintage- if you know the right stores, thats exactly what you’ll get. Just walk down the entire Portabello Road, and you’ll find loads of fun stores! If you’re looking for exquisite jewellery, you have to go to Hirst Antiques- it’s like Aladdin’s cave! My favourite store in the entire universe is located on this road- One of a Kind. Warning: do not enter if you have a weakness for everything fabulous. Their stock comes solely from collectors, stylist and celebrities- today they took me to the VIP back room, to show me what Kate Moss had just dropped off… Hot as hell. (By the way, happy belated birthday, Kate!) The store has been around for 19 years, and the boys who work here are divine. They flattered my huge ego by bringing out special hats and jumpsuits for me, claiming they had never seen anyone carry extreme clothes so well. Oh, boys! You do know how to make a lady blush! The entire scene turned into something very Gaga-esque; much to everyones liking. I do have a birthday coming up, so if you adore me and want to get me something special… you know where to go.

Anna found a beautiful fur coat that she bought- a chinchilla coloured Rex rabbit fur. These are hard to come by and she had been looking for a long time for one exactly like this so, congratulations! Anna writes for Swedish magazine Plaza Kvinna, about her life as a Swedish babe in London. Check it out!

Now, let’s introduce Aleksa to you- she is a Brazilian born, London based blogger and business woman, who is about to open a jewellery store. You can check her blog out here! She is an amazing photographer, and she’s responsible for todays pics! 🙂

A few words about my outfit, if you even care: I am obsessed with white clothing (does it make me appear more innocent? Not that I’m not but…) Statement pieces like the Anna Karin Karlsson sunglasses are a must in my wardrobe, as are cool gloves and jacket. The leopard fur is from Joseph, the dress is from Zara, the belt is vintage Gucci (I don’t really wear a lot of logo stuff, but it gives a bit of a retro look here, so lets not be shy about it). The bag is Miu Miu and my heels are Kurt Geiger.

How To Not Look Like a Crocodile Birkin

I am a total beauty junkie- wild horses can’t stop me when I’m on a roll in the make up department! When I’m on holiday in the sun, my habits change slightly. First of all, I don’t like to wear a lot of make up (none during the days, little in the evenings). Above is a picture of some products I found myself loving this Christmas while vacating in St Barths. From left to right: Continue reading
