Snaps around RAK City and Dubai

DSC_0020

Have you ever wanted to go to Rack City? I’ve been to RAK city, and it’s not Las Vegas. It’s not someones private parts. No, it’s an emirate of the UAE, and it is nothing like Tyga’s music video, not even remotely! Don’t know if I should be disappointed or relieved.

RAK is short Ras Al Khaimah and it just so happened that a friend of mine invited me for lunch over there. It’s about a 1.5 hours car ride from Dubai, and it’s known to be a bit of a beach resort. We hung out at the Waldorf Astoria, which was built by the Sheik in the majestic, over the top, style which dominates the scene out here . We went “Fly Fishing” which to you might sound pretty tame, but it wasn’t fishing in the regular sense of the word. More like, “adventure water sport” which left my rack black and blue. So much fun!

Here are some snaps from my last days in the Middle East. I feel fortunate and happy to have spent two amazing weeks there and seeing so much of it.

I leave you this very Happy Sunday with the promise that the last picture in this post was the setting of my most…adult and most amazing photo shoot up to date. Pictures coming soon!

I wore a pink cocktail hat by Joanna Edwards for dinner at Coya. This is one of my favorite restaurants in London, and the Dubai experience was equally satisfying. Truffle ceviche never grows old.

Really cool, plenty of very good looking people.
