Snaps around Dubai (and London)

Hello lovers! I have taken a detour to Dubai – how very wonderful! I am enjoying a sweet reunion with one of my all time BFF’s, Chris, who has been living out here for… well, for a while now. For a year or so, he was living in Riyadh, Saudi, but I guess that was a little too international/metropolitan/wild, so he relocated to the UAE. I’m happy he’s here, because this means I can actually come and visit!

Here are some recent snaps from my first couple of days out here as well as some pics from right before I left London.

Also, if you’re reading this and  you feel like you have some great tips for me on what to do while I’m here, please feel free to leave a comment 🙂

Working at The Pavillion – this place goes very well in line with my love for green!

Our friend Irvin took me to his ‘secret’ spot for lunch – Creekside. Amazing food – below is a beetroot carpaccio.

A Pisces in her natural habitat, before the Aquarium in the Dubai Mall.

The 10 litre tank means this is one of the biggest aquariums in the world

Have you tried this black water? BLK makes Alkaline Fulvic Trace, Mineral Infused Water. Tastes like regular water, but I did feel totally infused after having it.

Trying on my Abaya for an upcoming visit to the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi

Dinner with Irvin and Christoffer at Fume. It was one of those dinners where we just sat and talked for hours, the staff had to ask us to leave… Good friends and good food, what more do you need?

Selfie game on point

If the weather is bad or cold in London, I find that it helps to brighten up your clothes.

IMG_0081 IMG_0084 IMG_0106Just before I left, we did some filming for a fun little YouTube project I’m working on together with

We were fortunate to film at Beach Blanket Babylon in Notting Hill, as well as borrow some hats from milliner Joanne Edwards, who I modeled for earlier that week. Thank you! IMG_0245

If you hadn’t already guessed it – I am an absolute hat lover. Alexicat in a Hat is a good combination, so I felt right in my element during this wonderful shoot. I also loved the natural makeup!
